Day 20
Here's an old desk at the Habitat store I keep thinking about. Why you may ask? Well, I can see it's potential. I would strip it and re-stain it a darker color and attach the handles back. I actually like these handles. I saw a desk like this in an old movie the other day. The only thing about the desk is, it's huge! It may not look like it in the picture, but I don't even know how I would get this home. I'm sure it wouldn't fit in my Jeep. I need a work desk sooooo bad, the one I'm using now is just too small and isn't working for me. I work from home and am at my desk all day, so I really want my desk to be more functional. Here's the best part... it's $20.00.
I was also thinking, if I got this desk, I may put it in the Master Bedroom and start working out of there instead of working in the laundry room. The laundry room isn't insulated very well and it's freezing in here in the colder months. It would be much warmer to work back in the Master bedroom. It wouldn't be too much of a problem since I am sleeping in the guest room now, so I could still separate work from my sleeping area.
I'll let you know if I decide to get it or keep looking.

For $20 go for it!!! Maybe you can flutter your lashes and ask if they would deliver! ha.
We had a desk like that, ours was an old catholic school teachers desk, solid wood, heavy, the drawers stuck. We got rid of it a few years ago (it took up a lot of room in our den). Now I wish we still had it.
It's fate you have to buy it. Although the delivery will probably cost just as much as the desk its one of those things you just may regret!
I like the look of the desk,but would not like having so little space for my feet (or chair)to move around while sitting there. I`d feel a little bit stuck in between the drawers.

That looks similar to the desk I currently use. However, the one you're considering would drive me CRAZY because it's not symmetrical! Also, are those drawers at the left actually drawers, or is it a door?
I don't know Jolie. Seems a little too large and heavy. Once you get it home it will be hard to move around.

I'm still torn if I should get it or not, I keep thinking maybe there is something better out there that I need to wait just a little longer for.
Go for it. Theres one in nice condition on my CL going for 150 bucks.

We totally got a desk just like this for $20 on Craigslist for my parent's office! We haven't started rehabbing it but I am looking forward to working on it for Thanksgiving!
