Last Update on the Offer for Spanish House

It took the seller almost 3 days to get back to me about the offer I put in. Then she countered me with another offer and I then countered her with an offer trying to get to a happy medium.

My Realtor called me this morning to tell me that she rejected my last offer, so I told my realtor I'm not going up anymore on price and I'm done.

So it's back to the drawing board, I lost my little spanish house, but hopefully this will lead me to something I will love much better.   I've heard so many people recently say that they were really upset when they lost a house that they really wanted, but wouldn't change a thing because they found one so much better and are glad it all worked out the way it did.

I don't know, I just started feeling so weird about all of this when the seller started flaking out by taking the house off the market after I put my bid in and re-listing it at a higher price and all. Maybe I should have just walked away when things first started getting weird, but at least now I know the true outcome and can move on.

Back to the drawing board!

i think you were smart to walk away...it means there's something better for you.

my boyfriend and i recently purchased a house. something similar happened..we actually put an offer in on a place and they countered. we raised our first offer and they rejected. we walked away. about 3 days later, we get a call from our realtor saying that they had accepted our last offer. we said no! we felt like they were jerking us around. we found something less than a block away that we like more! it will all work out. good luck! :)
